How To Make Money On The Side In College
Yes, they say those college years are the best times of your life. But…they never said those were the times when you had the most money. I remember how tight funds were back when I was in college a few years ago.
Maybe you just want to make a little spare money on the side, or maybe you would like a full time income. Whatever the reason, I know that time and money are both limited in college, so here are 5 ways to make some extra money while you are in school:
1. Get a job- The obvious choice would be to get a part time job. If you get a job on campus, they will most likely be willing to work with you on times since they know you have a busy schedule.
2. Tutor- Another option is to be a tutor. Let’s say you are good at math…you could put up an ad on campus for cheap math tutoring. There are sure to be people struggling through Statistics 101 that would be interested in a tutor.
3. Online Surveys- You could turn to the internet to make a little extra money. There are plenty of sites that pay you to take surveys (but only join the free survey sites or you may get scammed). You won’t make a lot of money, but you can make a little spare cash in your free time.
4. eBay- Sell your old junk on eBay. Craigslist is another popular choice. Sell your old bike, video games, guitars, etc. If you never use something anymore, you might be able to make a little money from it. How To Make Money On The Side In College
5. Affiliate Marketing- If you have a little bit more time to spare each week, then the best choice is affiliate marketing. This one takes a bit more effort, and you have to be able to spend at least a couple hours each week doing it, but it pays off well.
Affiliate marketing is when you volunteer as an affiliate (or advertiser) for a person or company. You help promote their products, and you get paid a commission when someone buys something through your links. It may sound complicated at first, but the process is actually pretty simple once you get it down. Oh, and affiliate marketing is free too, so you don’t need to spend any money to make money.
Almost every store and online merchant (think Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, eBay, etc) has an affiliate, so you can write about products that are interesting to you. You have to research a product, write short articles about it, and make a simple blog or website to promote it. How To Make Money On The Side In College
