Indian smes in the export sector witnessed a dull phase in the last financial year as trade volumes dropped drastically due to global economic deceleration
Indian SMEs in the export sector witnessed a dull phase in the last financial year as trade volumes dropped drastically due to global economic deceleration. In addition to the recessionary pressures, the stringent export duties and the currency rate fluctuations in the global markets affected the export segment immensely last year. Continuing the downward trend, this year does not look very promising either for the domestic export sector.
Dwindling export volumes
India’s overall exports fell by 33.3% in March 2009, recording a decline for the sixth consecutive month since October 2008. The export value for the month plummeted to $11.51 billion from $17.25 billion recorded in March 2008.
“The export earnings for most small and mid-sized companies in the January-March quarter have been poor. The cancellation of orders by international buyers in major global markets has made it difficult for the small units to sustain their margins,” said the OP Agarwal, Chairman of AMBO Experts, a mid-sized tea exporting firm in Kolkata,
The labour intensive sectors such as textiles, auto components, leather, gems and jewellery, chemicals and handicrafts have been hit the hardest during the January-March quarter. SMEs in the oilmeal, iron ore, tea and manufacturing sectors also witnessed a tough time during this period due to a sharp fall in economic activity.
“The pace at which export volumes have declined during the last financial year has been concerning for the SME segment. In order to arrest this downward trend, the government and export associations need to take immediate action. Assistance in the form of higher tax rebate and increased credit availability is likely to help SME exporters overcome the crisis,” said proprietor Nitin Maheswari of a small-sized Kolhapur-based textile exporting firm, Ambika Synthetic Mills.
Bleak prospects
As the key export destinations for Indian SMEs — the US, UK and Europe — continue to reel heavily under the financial meltdown, the prospects for the export sector seem unlikely to improve in the near term.
During these uncertain times, the SME export segment needs to explore new markets and focus on innovating. In wake of the ongoing slump, strategic business initiatives would enhance competitiveness and help small businesses make a strong comeback when the market rebounds.

If you’re like me, you likely never heard of david wood until now
If you’re like me, you likely never heard of David Wood until now. I’d never heard of him either until I came across him teaching his article marketing methods on a webinar that was hosted by the good folks at MLM Lead System Pro. Like hundreds of others on the call, I was astounded at the enormous number of leads that David generates and the money he makes implementing these free article marketing strategies!
David Is One Of The Best There Is At Article Marketing!
Dividing their time seasonally between living in Fairbanks and someplace warmer as in the tropics, is easy for David and his wife Ashley due largely to David’s success using article marketing on the internet to grow his MLM business. David has harnessed the muscle of the internet to create an almost endless supply of leads for his MLM business and an income that easily puts him in the top 1% of income earners in his MLM company!
The Man Is Absolutely Amazing!
With no previous internet marketing experience, David Wood was able to go from a booming Network Marketer to becoming what Brian Fanale describes as an “Internet Marketing Rock Star” in only two-and-a-half short months! (In another article I offer a review of the amazing Brian Fanale, another great MLM success story…look for it on my article blog page)
“An Internet Rock Star in ONLY 2? months?” you ask. “Well, yeah. Anytime someone can go from sponsoring 4 people per month into their primary MLM company to developing 50 – 60 leads a day AND sponsoring 8 people into their MLM business in one day, I’d say that qualifies them as an MLM Rock Star, wouldn’t you?”
Article Marketing…A FREE Strategy To Build Your Business!
And did I also tell you that David utilizes Article Marketing strategies that are FREE! That’s right, I said FREE! He doesn’t pay a dime in advertising or marketing costs with these strategies! That’s what got my attention and made me a student of David Wood! And just so you know, Article Marketing is not the only free stratagem for building your MLM organization online. Visit us and we’ll show you more…the link’s at the bottom of this critique.
Oh, and did I also reveal that in this same 2? month period David has become a 6 figure income earner in his top MLM and that shortly after doing the webinar I was on, he actually made more than $30,000 in less than 2 weeks?
I believe 2 things are responsible for David Wood’s colossal success that all began with his Article Marketing efforts and are ongoing even as I write this!
David Has The Nature Of A Servant’s Heart!
I’m convinced that David Wood possesses a Servant’s Heart and that he wants simply to help others succeed. I would not be shocked to learn that David subscribes to the same philosophical beliefs of the legendary speaker and motivator, Zig Ziglar, who sums it up best when he says, “…anything you want in life can be yours if you’ll just help enough other people to get what they want!”
The second significant thing that David Wood possesses is his system. David shares his successes with hundreds, perhaps thousands of other Attraction Marketing System advocates just like you and me! It is this marketing system that enables teacher and student alike to bring together the strategies necessary for anyone to succeed in their MLM business.
Time To Take It Online!
Opportunity meetings, in-home presentations and handing out expensive marketing materials to entire strangers are all a thing of the past! “It’s probably time to look at taking your MLM business online…” and learning some fresh marketing strategies to take you and your Network Marketing business where you really want it to go!
On the other hand, if the long-established MLM marketing methods I referred to earlier are working for you and you’re basically looking at what’s possible should you decide to go online with your business, then I promise you that you could certainly do worse, but probably no better, than plugging into David Wood’s trainings and webinars or those of some other Article Marketing specialist that David Wood has mentored! Feel free to pop in on our website (the link is below) and let us help you become the next “Internet Marketing Rock Star!”
No, it has not gone away just yet
No, it has not gone away just yet.
The internet might have revolutionized many things in our society and brought with it styles of marketing that are often a lot cheaper, it still has not killed off the world of print advertising, and I do not see it doing that any time soon.
Why has the print world endured for so long? There are a number of reasons, and things to consider if you are trying to convert to an all online style of marketing.
First, we have yet to reach the point of every person in this country having both a computer and an internet connection in their home. Why lose that part of the market, which happens to be a much larger part of the market than many people are really aware of.
Second, a print advertisement can go with you, something the online world can never boast. You can put a flyer, business card, or brochure in your pocket with ease and carry it around with it.
And speaking of brochure printing, the full color brochure is another good example of what the print world still has to offer. A great brochure is a culmination of a number of different elements.
Someone who designed a brochure put thought into the fold patter, the images being used, the information being given, and combined all of this into a slick and nice package. This is something the online world cannot really do the same with, because it cannot combine the same kinds of elements and give something so tangible, something they can hold in their hands and flip through.
Do not knock the ability to hold something in your hands. It makes it more real, more important to you, and helps to get an idea to stick with you. There is a reason why companies were still using brochure printing after radio ads began, after television ads started up, and now after internet ads have become so popular.
Companies realized that all of these other forms of advertising were just a little more distant to people, something that lacked the same level of physical reality the print world offered.
Holding something just brings it closer to me, makes me give it more of my time and attention than I would have otherwise. A company took the time needed to design and print out this brochure, and so I’ll take the time needed to see what it has to say.
People are always quick to embrace new forms of advertising while attempting to act as if the older methods are merely a thing of the past. I would not be so quick to count print advertising out of the game just yet. You can do it if you want, but you will find your sales just are not doing as good as you thought they would, all because you are losing customers to those taking advantage of every form of marketing, rather than just one.

I have a cell phone that can do everything emails, web browsing, mp3 even mp4 but the thing that was missing was that i could not watch live tv through it
I have a cell phone that can do everything emails, web browsing, mp3 even mp4 but the thing that was missing was that I could not watch live TV through it. All the sites that I visited and used with my computer to watch live TV would not work on my LV Damier mobile phone. All I wanted to do was watch live news and Sports.
It was mainly for the sports so I could watch films while I was out of the house. The screen is big enough to make out the picture so it would be ideal. The speed of the mobile broadband these days means it is set up for live TV. All I needed was a provider to give me the channels.
I eventually found a provider on the internet that would give me over 200 channels with both news and sports and it would be directly on my LV Damier phone. The only thing that was needed was a mobile with internet access which I had.
I decided to get the software. I got the software 50% off as they had an offer open to the next 100 customers, at the time of writing this article this offer was open to another 80 customers, The software cost me $50 instead of $100.
I downloaded the software installed it on my phone and now I can watch local news and sport on myLV Damier cell phone. There are also a number of other channels like entertainment, kid’s channels but as I said I mainly got it for news and sports.
The other good thing is that I can watch live sporting events with no further fees or subscriptions.
LV Damier cell phone is like the LV well branded handbags, which has a Damier backshell with a TV aerial, searching for the chanels.
This is a good quality cell phone I bought at luxcellphone.com

Like most guys i have a fascination with gadgets and toys
Like most guys I have a fascination with gadgets and toys. The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. There is a new gadget for me to drool over.
Tag Heuer Phone has come out with their own cell phone design. I love gadgets but there is nothing better than a great looking phone to get me drooling every time.
Tag Heuer has kept their new phone along the same design line as their watches. The Tag Heuer Meridiist elegantly combines colors and materials to create a work of art that you can make phone calls with.
The phone is made with corrosion resistant watch making steel and dual 60.5 carat sapphire crystal displays. Yes, dual displays. There is a 1.9 inch QVGS main display. The second display constantly shows you the time with a monochrome OLED screen.
The list of features continues with Bluetooth, MP3/AAC/MPEG-4 playback, a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera, and a 7 hour talk time.
Continuuing with high design you have your choice of a rubber or crocodile leather backing. The crocodile leather is a very nice touch. Not only does the phone have a fantastic list of features it is beautifully designed.
The use of materials and overall design is fantastic, as it better be for the over $5,000 dollar price. It is more expensive than my college car.
But hey, you only live once so enjoy. Don’t forget to tell everybody that your Tag Heuer Meredist is Swiss engineered and hand assembled from 430 components.
Tag Heuer, a luxury company that specializes in watches, eyewear, cell phones and more, is really giving Vertu a run for its money. They have just released their newest cell phone model called the Tag Heuer Meridiist 2 SIM Automobili Lamborghini- and it’s just as expensive as it sounds. The cell phone will feature a 1.9-inch sapphire crystal display, 2 megapixel camera, media player, Bluetooth, and roughly seven hours of talk time. Oh, and of course, you can’t forget the Lamborghini logo.
The phone will be housed in black titanium carbide coated 316L stainless steel, and the design of the Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini phone references the super sports car down to its famed signature on the battery cover – the same as on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640′s V12 engine block. The back of the device is engraved with its limited edition number while the keyboard is customized with Automobili Lamborghini’s trademark on the central button.
Of course, when you’re paying this much for a cell phone you will want it to be customizable. That is why tag Heuer is giving you the option to have it covered in rubber, calfskin leather or genuine alligator.
If you’re planning on getting a big paycheque this month, or if you want to rack up some more money on your Visa bill, then head to select Tag Heuer or lamborghini retailers and pick one up for yourself.
