Ask yourself this question; is it better to build your online business with a company that has a lot of products to sell or just a few? If you said more products, you would be with the majority but you would also be wrong.
Logic would say having a bigger variety of products to sell would help you grow your business. What you don’t know is the numbers says otherwise. Now, I don’t want to tell you join or not join any particular company because of the line of products they have. I just want you to think about the psychology of the following. Now of course there is exceptions like if you go to your favorite bagel shop, you like them to have a big variety like asiago bagels, everything, cinnamon raisin or may be even you like blueberry bagels. But when it comes to your online business, less choice has a better rate of success. Think about how your life would be if you only focus on one product or a select few. No need to wonder which products should be marketed. Everyone on the conference call, the training would all be on a few products only and you would be an expert just like everyone on your team. If you have too many products or option, it creates a crumbling effect when different teams use different ways to promote different products. Ultimately, this will make your online business very uncertain and make it very difficult to make a sale or have a new distributor join your team. The center of attention of your team is now damaged, possibly ruined.
When it’s time to attract a new prospect to your team, we always depend on the same steps that made us successful. Most candidates will decide on what to purchase base on the option you offer them. If you made this following statement to your new customer or distributor “ Mary, what would you like to get today?” what do you think her answer will be? She’ll say “let me think about it” or “she’ll say let me try one.” Ask any successful sales person and they will tell that is the worst way to try to sell. With any company, you should have a few different options to offer. Which 2 do you think your candidate needs to be successful in your business? Those are the options you would offer. The question would go like this “ Mary, if you are serious about having your own successful online business, most of our successful distributors started with option 1 or 2. Which one would like to start with?” She may say she wants to start with something smaller, re-emphasize what it takes to have a successful online business and ask her again if she wants to start with option 1 or 2. If Mary insists that she wants to start with a smaller order or another option, you can still sponsor her but the likely hood of her being successful is very low. Right from the start, you can tell you will not be able to coach her. She is still not serious about her own success. She will be attracted to other offers and join another team down the road. My suggestion, move on to the next lead.
What you want here from your distributors is for them to be focus. The way to do that is to offer less option for them to work with. If they are more focus and work with only a few select products, they will deliver much better results, therefore put more money in his/her and your pockets.
