Search engine optimization is a perpetual exercise in tinkering and tweaking
Search engine optimization is a perpetual exercise in tinkering and tweaking. There are , however , some elementals that, if not implemented, will severely cripple your capability to realize a respectable results ranking.
Make SEO part of each site decision. The most elemental thing that separates sites that have an S.E.O methodology from those that don’t is a focus on S.E.O. Just like how everything you do impacts all the other sides of your site–from content to advertising–you need to think about how S.E.O fits into the mix. Just be conscious of it as a first step. When you do anything on your internet site, you need to consider the implications for S.E.O.
Create Your Keyword Map. Do a basic research and see what keyphrases are used to get to your internet site. Use your Web analytics package to establish what content drives high results and expand the list from there. Work out the universe of terms that drive folk to your site. And think about that apropos the market you are in and what folk are looking for. You can look at the keywords you are ranking for and work out what the keyword map is. Google will tell you how many monthly searches a word gets and what the related words are, and that is’s how you can get into creating new content and changing existing content.
If fine content is buried deep, you will not rank well. Usually the home page is the highest ranking page, and the further back a piece of content is, the less weight it becomes. Google defines how important a pice of content is dependent on how shallow it is re the default page. If it is’s buried deep, Google will think it isn’t as important. That’s a very frequent mistake. You need to keep the content shallow.
create a Sitemap.
Google can’t see images, so you need to have keywords describing them. Search engines depend on the Alt Tag to lift the image. The Alt Tags help to extend the final optimization of content that the image actually is on. Keyword Repetition and Linking.
Linking to related content is also crucial, and so has a site that other sites link to. This is also debatable, but a large % of SEO is what you do on your website apropos content, tagging and navigation.
